This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you use Storey (also known as “the App”).

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you download the App, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your operating system, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the App, we collect information about the individual pages or products that you view, and information about how you interact with the App. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

    - “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.

    - “Log files” track actions occurring on the App, and collect data including your IP address, app interactions, and date/time stamps.

RECEIPT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you email or forward your receipts to receipts@storeytheapp.com, we collect and store information about your purchases in order to populate them into your account. Your order purchase receipt emails are stored in our Gmail inbox managed by G Suite and stored on encrypted Google Cloud servers.

We use the Receipt Information like item name, photo and cost, to populate the items in your wardrobe using both algorithmic and manual processes. Once in your account these details are encrypted and not associated with your name or address.

These emails are visible only by the full time staff at the company. These emails are deleted every 6 months.

CONNECTING YOUR EMAIL

You can choose to enable us to access one or more of your email accounts by connecting such account(s) with your Storey account. If you connect your email account, Storey will automatically access and analyze the contents of emails in your email account(s) on an ongoing basis for the purpose of identifying shopping related emails that may contain recent purchase receipts. Once identified, purchase receipt information is then extracted from your emails into your Storey account so that you may access this information in Storey.

Additional Limits on Use of Your Google User Data

Notwithstanding anything else in this Policy, if you provide us access to your Gmail account (“Gmail Data”), our use of your Gmail Data are subject to these additional restrictions:

  • Our service's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google Accounts will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • We only use access your Gmail message bodies (including attachments), to identify your Purchases, extract your Purchase information, and copy, retain and use your Purchase information so that you may access and use this information in the Service (e.g., creating and sharing Collages), and to otherwise provide our Service.

  • We do not transfer this Gmail Data to third parties unless doing so is necessary to provide and improve our Service features, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

  • We do not use your Gmail Data for serving advertisements.

  • We only use you Gmail Data to deliver our Service, investigate fraud or Service abuse, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. We only use your Gmail Data, or for our internal operations and even then only when the data have been aggregated and anonymized.

By using the Service, you understand and agree that as part of the Service, your Purchase information may be viewed by other individuals if you choose to share that information with others or make your Purchase information available in a public area of the Service.


THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE/SERVICE PROVIDERS


We use UXCam, which is an analytics solution. UXCam may record: Screens visited, Interaction patterns (such as screen actions, gestures: taps, scrolls), and Device details (Type, Version, Model, Operating System). We are using the information collected by UXCam to improve our app.

UXCam stores and processes this information on our behalf and may contain personally identifiable information although we proactively remove it where possible. For more information visit UXCam Privacy Policy.

PURCHASE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Separately, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the App, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers and Apple Pay details), email address, and phone number.  We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information, Receipt Information, and Order Information.

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the App (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping between the seller and the buyer, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Communicate with you;

Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our App (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the App, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We may use these details only in aggregated/anonymized ways to conduct research and make inferences about generalized behaviour of users on the App.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We never share your Personal Information with third parties unless required to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

YOUR RIGHTS

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the App), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.  Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

DATA RETENTION

The receipts you personally forward to us to digitize items to your wardrobe are deleted every 12 months.

When you place an order through the App, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

MINORS

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 13.

CHANGES

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
